PEWAUKEE - Sophomore Sam Monahan had two goals and an assist as Pewaukee beat Union Grove 7-0 in a WIAA Division 2 regional.

Seniors Kacey Koerten, Kara Mirsberger and Kylie Bartolomeo and freshman Courtney Lewis also scored goals for the Pirates, 11-8-5. Juniors Charlotte Larkin and Stephanie Carr and freshman Olivia Schneider added assists.

BROWN DEER - Pewaukee High School's girls soccer team finished its regular season with a 4-0 Woodland Conference victory over Brown Deer on Saturday.

Pewaukee, which led 2-0 at halftime, begins postseason tournament play this week with a 10-8-5 overall record.

The Pirates, 5-4-1 in conference, got first-half goals from sophomores Charlotte Larkin and Sam Monahan, with freshman Courtney Lewis assisting on Monahan's goal. Junior Alyson Rogers and sophomore Lauren Wehking scored unassisted goals in the second half.

New Berlin West, Pewaukee play to soccer tie
NEW BERLIN - One team continued to have looks at the goal. The other finished with only three attempts. However, the Pewaukee High School and New Berlin West High School girls soccer teams played to a 1-1 tie in a Woodland Conference game Thursday. Two overtimes couldn't decide a winner.

Pewaukee soccer team sweeps invitational

ELKHORN - The Pewaukee High School varsity and junior varsity girls soccer teams each won the Elkhorn Invitational for the second consecutive year.

Pewaukee's varsity went 3-0 Saturday, beating Kenosha Christian Life 4-1, Menomonee Falls 1-0 and Lake Geneva Badger 4-0 as the Pirates improved their season record to 9-7-4.

Sophomore Lauren Wehking had two goals and an assist against Kenosha Christian Life. Senior Alicia Czech had a goal an an assist, sophomore Sam Monahan had an assist and senior Kylie Bartolomeo and sophomore Michelle Kammers each had an assist.

A penalty kick by senior Laura Vetro with two minutes remaining beat Menomonee Falls.

Senior Erin Nonnamaker scored the first two goals - the first on an assist from Bartolomeo - while Czech and junior Stephanie Carr had unassisted goals against Badger.

Eisenhower beats Pewaukee in soccer

PEWAUKEE - Sophomore Kelsi Kohl scored in the 43rd minute to give the New Berlin Eisenhower girls soccer team a 1-0 Woodland Conference victory over Pewaukee on Monday.

Senior Ally Bales assisted on the goal for Eisenhower (13-5-1 overall, 5-1-1 in league).

The Lions were out shot 5-3 by Pewaukee (9-8-4 overall, 4-3 in league).

GREENFIELD - Seniors Kara Mirsberger, Erin Nonnamaker and Alicia Czech scored goals as Pewaukee beat Whitnall 3-0 in a Woodland Conference game Thursday.

Freshman Courtney Lewis and sophomore Sam Monahan had assists as the Pirates improved to 4-3 in conference and 6-7-4 overall.

Pewaukee led 1-0 at halftime and Nonnamaker's goal in the 60th minute put the game away.

PEWAUKEE - Sophomore Sam Monahan tied the game in the 51st minute with an assist by sophomore Charlotte Larkin but Shorewood came back to beat Pewaukee 2-1 in a Woodland Conference game Tuesday.

Chelsie Crawford scored the game winner in the 57th minute before a big youth soccer night crowd at Pewaukee.

The Pirates are 3-3 in league and 5-7-4 overall.

PEWAUKEE - Pewaukee lost to Grafton in a shootout in the championship game of the Pewaukee Cup girls soccer tournament Saturday.

The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation.

MILWAUKEE - Seniors Alicia Czech and Kara Mirsberger and sophomores Sam Monahan and Lauren Wehking each scored in Pewaukee's 4-1 Woodland Conference victory over Thomas More.

PEWAUKEE - Sophomore Charlotte Larkin recorded assists on three of her 11 corner kicks and senior Kara Mirsberger scored two goals to lead Pewaukee to an 8-0 Woodland Conference victory over Greenfield.

Larkin also had a goal in Pewaukee's highest scoring game of the season.

Other goals were scored by seniors Alicia Czech and Kylie Bartolomeo, junior Allie Patterson, sophomore Lauren Wehking and freshman Courtney Lewis as the Pirates improved to 2-2 in league and 4-6-2 overall.

Pirates inconsistent

The Pewaukee girls soccer team has a 2-6-2 record so far - after losing eight seniors to graduation.

"We're trying to replace those seniors and we've been a little inconsistent," Pirates coach Randy Staus said.

Two of the team's results have been highly encouraging: a non conference victory over Madison Edgewood and a 0-0 tie against Wauwatosa East. Edgewood is ranked No. 4 in Division 2 and East has a highly regarded team.

Pewaukee, Mukwonago girls soccer teams win big; North falls

CUDAHY - Pewaukee had its highest goal total of the season in beating Cudahy 6-0 in a Woodland Conference girls soccer match Thursday.

Seniors Erin Nonnamaker, Alicia Czech, Laura Vetro and Kara Mirsberger and sophomores Charlotte Larkin and Lauren Wehking scored goals for the Pirates. Wehking also had two assists.

Other assists came from Mirsberger, Michelle Kammers and Kylie Bartolomeo.

The victory was the first for Pewaukee in league play (1-2) and the Pirates improved to 3-6-2 overall.

PEWAUKEE - Senior Kara Mirsberger scored off an assist from junior Allie Patterson in the 76th minute but it wasn't enough as Pewaukee lost a Woodland Conference game to Greendale 2-1.

Greendale is 3-0 in league. Pewaukee is 0-2 in league and 2-6-2 overall.

SLINGER - Pewaukee fell to 2-5-2 Saturday with a 3-1 non conference loss to Slinger.

Pewaukee trailed 3-0 at halftime before sophomore Sam Monahan scored for the Pirates off an assist from senior Laura Vetro.

PEWAUKEE - Junior goalkeeper Gina Slesar made five saves as the Pewaukee girls soccer team tied Wauwatosa East 0-0 in a non conference game Friday.

East out shot Pewaukee (2-4-2) 12-8.

Senior Laura Vetro assisted on the goal, which tied the game at one. The Pirates are 2-4-1 overall.

PEWAUKEE - Kettle Moraine Lutheran scored a goal in the 47th minute to beat Pewaukee 1-0 in a non conference game Monday.

Pewaukee had eight shots on goal to Lutheran's two.

The Pirates are 2-3-1 overall.

TOWN OF MERTON - Senior defender Jessica Volk scored what became the winning goal on a corner kick in the 30th minute as Arrowhead defeated Oconomowoc 1-0 in the second round and won its own quadrangular Saturday.

The Warhawks, 4-1 overall, out shot Oconomowoc 12-4.

Pewaukee, which placed second in the tournament, overcame a 1-0 deficit to beat Madison Edgewood 2-1. Seniors Laura Vetro and Kara Mirsberger scored for Pewaukee, 2-2-1 overall this season.

PEWAUKEE - Sophomore striker Sam Monahan scored what became the winning goal on an assist from senior striker Laura Vetro in the 16th minute to lead the Pewaukee High School girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Racine Case in a non-conference game Wednesday.

Senior striker Kara Mirsberger had the other goal off an assist from Monahan in the seventh minute for Pewaukee, 1-2 overall.
