2008 ARROWHEAD BOYS SOCCER CITIZENSHIP PROJECT
...inspired by an ESPN special.
THANKS to all who contributed!
Nick Madaras had a passion and love for the game of soccer. Upon graduation from high school Nick enlisted himself in the Army. While patrolling on September 3rd, 2006 Madaras was killed by a roadside bomb. He was 19 years of age. Prior to Nick’s death he expressed an interest of giving soccer balls to Iraqi children so they could play the game he loved. Kick for Nick started with a few soccer balls and now the Iraqi children have been blessed with over 1,900 soccer balls, all with Nick’s name on them.To learn more about Nick Madaras and Kick for Nick visit this link: |
