Readings Archive

In the late winter of 2000, I decided I wanted to become more active in making my words heard. I picked up a copy of the "Shepherd Express," an alternative weekly Milwaukee newspaper, and looked for information on poetry readings. I decided on Jitterz Coffee House, located at 7606 W. State St. in Wauwatosa. There is a featured poet and an open mic every first and third Friday of every month. The host's name is Brian, and things usually get started at about 7:30 P.M. for those who may be interested in attending. I finally went to my first reading on February 2. It was actually more of a listening for me, but there you go. The first time I actually got up the courage to get up there and read (a frightening experience) was on April 20, 2001. The following is the list of things that I have read.

In the spring of 2002, the readings were discontinued by Brian and changed to a different night. I have yet to go to one of the "new" readings, and my public performances have been suspended at this time (if not indefinitely, then at least temporarily). Thank you.
